The future of barbering.

Idea.

Starting from the notes app in the midst of lockdown the concept of Barba was created.

The idea was simple, replicate what Uber did to transport, Airbnb did to travel and Deliveroo did to food ... but for barbering.

Barbering as an industry is still in 2005, barbershops take 50% of the barbers revenue. Customers still have to travel and queue. The experience is poor on both sides.

Shops were closed and the world was on standby, but Barba was started.

Progress.

We developed the initial MVP on a limited budget, incorporating all the essential features to demonstrate to barbers and customers that Barba represents the future.

Throughout this period, one barber committed full-time to Barba, providing services to friends, family, local residents, and nearby businesses, all while we gathered feedback at each stage of the process.

Subsequently, we returned to the development phase to create an app that aligns with the desires of both barbers and customers. Currently, we have ten barbers in London and Manchester eagerly awaiting the onboarding process.

Future.

Acquiring a competitor app that recently entered liquidation, presents a unique opportunity to leverage their reputation to bring immediate credibility to our business.

Whilst the access to Trim-Its rich customer base of 100k clients expands our reach, allowing us to quickly gain a larger market share.

Using their database enables us to launch our new subscription service, Barba Unlimited, to a substantial and well-qualified audience.
